Aditi Vidyaniketan did not begin as a school. It began as a promise — kept quietly, over several years, in the after-school classrooms of Jiaganj. Before we ever drew up a curriculum or laid a single brick, we spent time simply being present with the children of this town: understanding what they needed, where the gaps were, and what a real education would have to look like to close them.
That patience shaped everything that came after. Aditi Vidyaniketan exists because we first listened — and only then built.

We are proudly affiliated with CBSE — but affiliation is where the resemblance to a conventional school ends. Aditi Vidyaniketan is designed around the child first, and the curriculum second. Every method, every classroom practice, every hour of the school day has been shaped by real questions we sat with in Jiaganj: What does a child actually need to grow into someone confident, capable, and kind? The CBSE framework gives us the structure; the child gives us the purpose.
We are not building a good school for one town. We are building a model — carefully documented, deliberately affordable, and designed from day one to be copied. If what we build here works, it should be able to take root in any small town facing the same gap Jiaganj once faced: real enrollment, but little access to the kind of education that actually changes a child's trajectory. Aditi Vidyaniketan is our proof of concept for what that can look like, wherever it's needed next.
Our after-school program — where this entire journey started — isn't going anywhere. It continues to run for children in Jiaganj who are not able to secure a seat at Aditi Vidyaniketan, so that the door we opened years ago stays open, for every child, not only the ones who get admitted.
We teach through the best of what India has always known — Gandhi's Nai Taleem, Tagore's Shantiniketan — standing shoulder to shoulder with the strongest ideas in global education today. Neither tradition is treated as the whole answer; together, they are.
CBSE gives us a framework, not a philosophy. Every lesson, every method, every hour of the school day is built around one question first: what does this particular child need to grow well?
A classroom here is a place of hands, not just ears — building, questioning, and discovering, so that curiosity becomes a habit rather than an occasional visitor.
We raise children to be whole human beings before anything else — and to use technology with judgement, care, and conscience, so it serves kindness and the good of others rather than replacing either.
Everything we build here is documented deliberately, so it can take root in the next small town that needs it — proof that this way of teaching isn't a one-time exception, but a model.
